Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in donating your time and skills to KUOW! We rely on volunteers following our on–air membership drives, as well as for ongoing office work throughout the year.

Membership Drive

Volunteer at KUOW’s Thank-a-thon events following our membership drives by making thank-you calls to donors to show appreciation for their support. Commitment: 2–hour shifts. 

Office/General

Assist KUOW's Membership department with bulk mailings, packaging thank you gifts, filing, and other assorted tasks. Daytime shifts as pre–arranged. This activity peaks a few times a year, but usually happens once a month. Commitment: single shift or multiple shifts.

Special Events

Support KUOW staff at station events (at our studios and/or off-site). Event jobs will vary in scope, depending on the nature of the event. Many events take place outside of normal business hours (after 5 p.m.). Commitment: on–call, with advance notice.

KUOW Volunteer Policies

• All KUOW volunteers must agree to KUOW's Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement. Volunteers will be prompted to read and sign this agreement when registering for volunteer events.
• Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older - no exceptions - even if child is accompanied by a parent or guardian.
