Programming Changes

KUOW2 will air Here and Now five days a week and move Science Friday to a new time starting July 26.

Why did Science Friday move from the 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. time slot?
This move allows KUOW2 to broadcast NPR’s new midday news magazine, Here and Now, five days a week. Earlier this year NPR, ended production of Talk of the Nation. Talk of the Nation was only produced four days a week. When NPR launched the replacement, Here and Now, they made the program five days per week. This allows for more responsive coverage of news events during the week.

Can I still hear Science Friday on KUOW2?
Yes, Friday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The program is also available as a podcast at http://www.sciencefriday.com/audio/scifriaudio.xml
