Seattle's head tax is the law of the municipal land now. What do local businesses think? Bill Radke and KUOW reporter Carolyn Adolph sat down with Todd Biesold, owner and CFO of Merlino Foods, for a perspective.

Six years ago, former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis sat down and began writing a letter in answer a deceptively simple question: why so much inequality? The ensuing book, "Talking to My Daughter About the Economy," was just released in English, and he came by to give a (very simple) explanation of the economics of Seattle.

Life is full of what-ifs, and sports are no different. Slate's Mike Pesca edited a whole book about the greatest missed opportunities in sports history. It's called Upon Further Review, and it gave him a unique look at things like Seattle's thwarted superbowl ambitions and the (hopefully temporary) demise of Robinson Canó's hand.
