It’s May Day! Prepare for mayhem. Well… maybe. Maybe nothing. Or maybe just a bad commute? If you’re as confused about this as Seattle police seem to be, KUOW’s Paige Browning is on the case to explain the annual rallies and protests.

Congressmember Suzan DelBene came in to speak on a range of issues affecting her district and the state; closer to home, we discussed who should pay for the new waterfront park, or LID. Former Boeing employee Karen Geilen and former mayor Charley Royer are both downtown residents who stand to see an impact in their pockets from the current payment model.

And when someone you know has lost a loved one, it can be hard to know what to say. But if you’ve ever lost a loved one, you also know that people are skilled at saying the exact wrong thing. Rebecca Soffer and Gabi Birkner launched a website called Modern Loss to tackle the issue, and they joined Bill Radke in studio to discuss their new book of the same name.
