Each day on The Record we play the sound of your day. Listeners record 30 seconds of a sound they find interesting, write a short story and send it to The Record.

Monday, October 21

That is the sound of the Wallingford Farmers Market on a warm sunny afternoon in August. It was sent to us by The Record’s own Ross Reynolds.

Tuesday, October 22

[asset-audio[{"description": "", "fid": "6874", "uri": "public://201310/1022sound.mp3"}]]Listener Fred sent us this sound of a large impeller for an ice blowing machine.

Wednesday, October 23

[asset-audio[{"description": "", "fid": "6875", "uri": "public://201310/1023sound.mp3"}]]Listener Don recorded the sound of a marina in Everett on a windy day. It’s the sound of halyards (the lines that raise and lower the sails) hitting the mast.

Thursday, October 24

[asset-audio[{"description": "", "fid": "6876", "uri": "public://201310/1024sound.mp3"}]]That is the sound of nine happy Narragansett Turkeys foraging, eating bugs, grub and fresh green grass. Listener Erin said the turkeys should be “ready for harvest by Thanksgiving.”
