Addressing Climate Change In The Northwest

Energy expert Amory Lovins says the United States can replace all oil and coal by the year 2050, without nuclear power, new federal taxes or subsidies, or new inventions. At the same time, we can grow the US economy by 158 percent.

Ross spoke with Amory Lovins back in December of this year about his new book, “Reinventing Fire.” Today we’re following up by exploring some of these ideas with KC Golden.  He’s the policy director for the Seattle-based group Climate Solutions, which focuses on how to solve the problems of climate change by making changes here in the Northwest.
