Ross Reynolds talks about the wildfire state of emergency in British Columbia with Ian Bailey, reporter for the Globe and Mail. We also talk about the consequences for the air quality in Seattle, with Erik Saganic of the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency.

We also talk to Janet Pope, executive director of the Compass Housing Alliance about modular housing in the region and how it might help cut the cost of building housing.

And we talk to Sarah Sumadi, senior program manager at One America and Aliya Haq, nutrition services supervisor with International Community Health Services about a new rule in the works from the Trump Administration that would authorize federal officials to deny legal permanent resident status -- green cards -- to legal immigrants if they've used public benefits. We hear about some Washington state immigrants that are already turning down services, for fear it will affect their status.

Finally, we discuss the new romantic comedy, Crazy Rich Asians, and how much importance we should put on the movie. We're joined by Hsiao-Ching Chou, author of Chinese Soul Food: A Friendly Guide for Homemade Dumplings, Stir Fries, Soups and More, Naomi Ishisaka, journalist, photographer and former editor in chief of ColorsNW Magazine and Annie Kuo, journalist and public relations manager for the Seattle Asian American Film Festival.
