Yesterday afternoon in Madison Park, you may have seen an unusual breaking and entering. U.S. State Department officials drilled through the locks on the gate of a Russian-owned home, while former consular employees filmed across the street.

The Russian embassy tweeted that video, with the caption "US special services are preparing to invade Russian diplomatic property in Seattle" - high drama for a Wednesday afternoon. KUOW's Paige Browning explains the ins and outs, complete with hastily shredded documents and a dispute over what country has jurisdiction on the soil of the estate.
