Bill Radke sits down with Seattle writer Ijeoma Oluo to discuss the outcome of the presidential election. For many progressives like her, Trump's win was a difficult pill to swallow.
Oluo's intial reaction was to console her family after it became clear Tuesday night that Donald Trump would become the next president of the United States.
She told her nine-year-old son, "In a couple of years, you're going to be the one who gets to make that choice. And you're going to make the right choice," she said. "But I'm going to keep you safe."
"A lot of what we are seeing right now has been in place for a long time," she added.
As far as what she plans on doing next, she says she's "focused on capitalizing on all the attention that America is finally paying right now."
"This actually is the society we live in," she said.
