Elizabeth Hovance
Director of Research and ITYear started with KUOW: 2003
As Director of Research, Hovance has overall responsibility for the coverage of operational and analytic databases, data integration, data quality and business intelligence. Her primary area of focus is on relational and non-relational databases.
Hovance has worked in data management for over 14 years. She holds a BA, cum laude, in Women’s Studies from Vassar College and has done coursework in History at Oxford University.
In 2003, Hovance joined KUOW as the Development Database Manager. She came to KUOW from United Way of King County, one of the country's largest United Way branches, where she served as the Data Control Manager. She has presented at several Public Media Development & Marketing Conferences, most recently on multi-platform fundraising campaigns.
